Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: October 19, 2026

Introduction

These Terms and Conditions are an agreement between you, the parent or legal guardian who downloads or manages Sova (the “Application”), and Artur Gorbaczewski (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”). Sova is made for children aged 6 to 8; the child plays, and a grown-up accepts these Terms and Conditions, sets the app up and makes any purchase. By using the Application you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple EULA”). Where these Terms and Conditions and the Apple EULA differ, these Terms and Conditions apply to the extent the Apple EULA allows.

1. The Application

Sova is a math puzzle game. Five games are free. Math Expert is an optional upgrade that unlocks every other game and all of their levels. We may add, change or remove games and features at any time.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application on Apple devices you own or control, for your family’s personal, non-commercial use, as permitted by the App Store’s Usage Rules (including Family Sharing). You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Application, or use it to build a competing product.

3. Math Expert: Monthly, Yearly or Lifetime

3.1 Ways to buy

Math Expert is sold through Apple’s App Store as:

  • Math Expert Yearly: an auto-renewing subscription billed once a year. If your Apple Account is eligible, it starts with a 7-day free trial.
  • Math Expert Monthly: an auto-renewing subscription billed once a month, with no free trial.
  • Math Expert Lifetime: a single, one-time payment with no renewal.

All three unlock the same games. The price of each, in your currency and including any applicable taxes, is shown in the Application and by Apple before you confirm. Every purchase sits behind a parental gate in the Application, and Apple’s Ask to Buy applies to children’s accounts in a Family Sharing group.

3.2 Subscriptions (monthly and yearly)

  • Free trial (yearly only): eligibility is decided by Apple, normally once per Apple Account. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and the yearly price is charged to your Apple Account when the trial ends.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
  • Auto-renewal: the subscription renews automatically each month or year, at the then-current price, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Managing and cancelling: in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Deleting the Application does not cancel a subscription. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep Math Expert until then.
  • When a subscription ends: the Math Expert games lock again. Your child’s progress is kept on the device and returns when Math Expert is unlocked again. The free games stay available.
  • Price changes: Apple tells you in advance and, where required, asks for your consent.
  • Buying Lifetime while subscribed does not cancel the subscription; cancel it yourself in your Apple Account settings to avoid further charges.

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

3.3 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us: visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the Sova purchase and choose “Request a Refund”. Apple decides under its own policies.

3.4 Restoring a purchase

After reinstalling or on a new device, use “Restore Purchases” (in the Math Expert screen or the Parent Dashboard, behind the parental gate) while signed in to the Apple Account that made the purchase. Family Sharing members receive Math Expert as Apple’s Family Sharing allows.

3.5 “Lifetime”

Lifetime means access to Math Expert for as long as the Application is available and works on your device. If we ever discontinue the Application, your access continues until it stops working on your device, and we stop offering new subscription periods.

4. Children and Parental Responsibility

The Application is designed for children to use under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Parent-only areas (the Parent Dashboard, language, legal pages), purchases and every link that leaves the Application sit behind the parent PIN or a parental gate. You are responsible for keeping the PIN private and for deciding how and how long your child plays. How we handle information is described in the Privacy Policy; in short, your child’s progress stays on the device and we run no ads, analytics or tracking.

5. Intellectual Property

The Application, its puzzles, artwork, text, sounds and code belong to the Developer or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms and Conditions do not transfer any ownership to you.

6. Third-Party Services

Purchases are processed by Apple, and RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) confirms whether Math Expert is unlocked, under its Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party services, which have their own terms.

7. Warranties Disclaimer

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We aim for correct puzzles and answers, but we do not promise that the Application is error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every device, or that it will meet a particular learning outcome. Sova supports practice; it is not a replacement for school or for a teacher’s assessment.

ON BEHALF OF APPLE, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND LIABILITY FOR THE APPLICATION. APPLE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE APPLICATION, ITS OPERATION, MAINTENANCE, SUPPORT OR ANY CLAIMS ABOUT IT.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE APPLICATION. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Math Expert in the twelve months before the claim (or the lifetime price, if you bought Lifetime). Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Application at any time by deleting it (and cancelling any subscription in your Apple Account settings). We may end this license if these Terms and Conditions are seriously breached, and we may change, suspend or stop offering the Application, or any of its features, at any time. Sections 5, 7, 8 and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live in the European Union, Switzerland, Norway or Iceland, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and may bring claims in its courts. Consumers in the EU can also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform where it applies. We will always try to resolve a problem informally first: please contact us.

11. EU Consumers: Right of Withdrawal

Digital content is supplied immediately after purchase. By confirming a purchase you ask for immediate supply and acknowledge that the 14-day right of withdrawal ends once supply begins, as EU law permits. Apple’s own refund policy (Section 3.3) still applies.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and continuing to use the Application after an update means you accept the updated Terms and Conditions.
